About J76 Woodworks

Crafted by Hand. Made with Heart.

Hi, I'm Stephen Jahnke — the maker behind J76 Woodworks.

As someone who has always tinkered and created things with a love of fixing and creating things with my own two hands, I found a love of woodworking. Being able to take a piece of wood and creating something awesome from it just gives me that warm fuzzy feeling. Everytime I and over a one of a kind creation and see the reactions it makes me smile. With the help and encouragement of my great family I have found a way to make many others happy and put a smile on their face.

Every Piece Tells a Story

I work with live-edge slabs, reclaimed wood, and carefully selected hardwoods — materials that already have character before I ever pick up a tool. No two pieces are alike, because no two pieces of wood are alike. The grain, the knots, the natural edges — those aren't imperfections. They're the story of the tree, and they become part of the story of your home.

From hand-turned clocks to custom cutting boards and candle holders, every item I make is shaped, sanded, and finished right here in the US — by me, in my shop, one piece at a time.

Custom & Personal

One of my favorite parts of this work is custom engraving. Whether it's a family name, a meaningful date, or a message you want to carry forward, I can work it right into the piece. It's a small detail that turns something handmade into something truly yours.

Why Handmade Matters

When you buy from J76 Woodworks, you're not buying from a warehouse or a factory floor. You're buying something made by a real person who cares about the craft. I stand behind every piece I send out — if something isn't right, I want to make it right.

Thank you for being here. It means more than you know.
